ERASMUS MUNDUS SCHOLARSHIPS
When applying for the Master in Integrated STEAM Education (MASTED), candidates will have to choose whether they wish to apply for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or whether they prefer to be a self-funded student.
All countries are eligible for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
The application, selection, and admission procedures, as well as the eligibility requirements and admission criteria, are the same for all scholarship or self-funded candidates, with the sole exception that, in order to be eligible for the scholarship, the following conditions must be fulfilled:
- Not having been previously granted an Erasmus Mundus Master's or PhD scholarship.
- Not be a beneficiary of another EU-funded scholarship Programme for the same purpose, i.e., to jointly cover the MASTED programme tuition fees.
- Do not carry out a salaried activity.
All scholarship holders are given 1400 € per month, to be paid to the student for the 18 months of the MASTED programme in order to be devoted full time and exclusively to the successful completion of the study programme. This scholarship amount covers subsistence, installation, travel, and a fee-waiver for programme costs. MASTED scholarship holders are exempt from paying tuition fees.
MASTED scholarships will be awarded to the best candidates, in accordance with the eligibility and selection criteria and procedures set out on this website and under the Student Agreement section that can be found in the Library section.
The total number of students enrolled per edition will be 20, of which 12 will be scholarship holders and 8 self-funded.
OTHER FUNDING
If you have not been awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship from the MASTED programme, you can still consult the European Funding Guide or the study portals.
INSURANCE
The Consortium will provide a health and accident insurance for the mobility development of all students, scholarship holders or self-funded, valid for the entire duration of the MASTED programme. The insurance will cover urgent medical care in case of illness or accident, death, pregnancy and childbirth, permanent disability, or early return in case of serious illness or accident of a close relative, as well as civil liability, theft and loss of documents.
The student will receive the specific conditions of the insurance coverage in due time after confirmation of enrolment and, in any case, before the beginning of the first academic year.
Coverage shall come into effect at the time of the start of the student's trip to participate in the MASTED programme (maximum two months before the start of the eligibility period of the specific actions in which the scholarship holder is enrolled) and shall remain in force until two months after its end unless there is a change in the beneficiary status.
The coverage shall apply to all mobilities within the framework of the Master programme, such as: departure to the mobility destination; travel between participating higher education institutions; return home travel after completing the mobility or during academic breaks within the specific period of the mobility; preparatory, mid-term or final evaluation meetings; research, cultural and intercultural courses, conferences, seminars or workshops.
