Selection and admission

PROCEDURES

After the application closing date, the selection and admission process will be done in a 3-step procedure, as follows:

  1. The University of Burgos, as the MASTED coordinating institution, will short-list all of eligible candidates and the Master Content Monitoring Committee will draw up a selection ranking of excellence, taking into account the following criteria:
    CRITERIA WEIGHT
    Academic excellence 50%
    Previous knowledge and experience 15%
    Project to be undertaken during the stay 25%
    Other languages (spanish and portuguese) 5%
    Other achievements 5%
  2. The Steering Committee shall review the ranking in order to object to or approve the list of those admitted filling the positions published in the corresponding edition.
  3. The Master Content Monitoring Committee will communicate the final decision by e-mail to all visiting lecturer applicants.

Each visiting lecturer, prior to the start date of his/her activities, will sign an Agreement with the Consortium, which will contain the following information:

  • Salary payment and travel, accommodation, and other expenses reimbursement conditions.
  • A detailed description and schedule of the visiting lecturer’s activities within the programme.
  • Cancellation conditions of the agreement.
  • Intellectual property rights arrangements.
  • Number, quality, and content of the reports to be submitted to the Consortium by the visiting lecturer as a summary of his/her activities.
  • Commitment to promote and disseminate the MASTED in their institution, and more generally speaking in their country of origin.
