MASTER IN INTEGRATED STEAM EDUCATION

February 2023. MASTED has applied to the 2023 Erasmus Mundus Joint Master call

The Master in Integrated STEAM Education (MASTED) has been one of the 94 proposals submitted to the ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PEX-EMJM-MOB call of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) program, which closed on February 16 2023 and has an allocated budget of almost 143 million euros.

The EMJM call, within the broad Erasmus+ programme, has as its main objective to support the joint development, implementation and delivery of official and transnational master's degrees, improving the attractiveness and excellence of the European Higher Education in the world, through a combination of:

• institutional academic cooperation and

• individual mobility for all students, with EU-funded scholarships for the best candidates.

In addition to fulfilling the priorities of the Erasmus Mundus program, MASTED is a clear example of excellence, not only for targeting students with an outstanding academic and professional profile, but also for ensuring the quality of its program through a governance structure and an internal management system created specifically for the analysis, monitoring and improvement of the programme and its procedures.

Its intention is also to meet the present and future needs of a society that urgently requires a new educational system in accordance with the higher education space drawn by the European Union. To achieve this, MASTED intends to promote technical-scientific and artistic training in all educational stages with a practical, integrating and transversal approach. The graduated professionals will face a highly changing and complex world with the skills and abilities that the market demands.

The certification of the program according to the 'European Approach' standard, or the wide and updated knowledge of STEAM and its disciplines of the partners, associates and collaborators that shape its multidisciplinary and international team among other aspects, allow MASTED to have clear options to receive EMJM funding.

It is a highly competitive call that will not be resolved until July 2023, but we have worked hard to deliver good news in August 2023. We keep our fingers crossed!
