WELCOME

The first weekend at the beginning of each academic year it will take place the welcome to all students enrolled in MASTED. A mandatory two-day virtual event will be organized to provide all the details about what MATED is and how it works, and also which entities offer it, the programme with its mobilities and the legal requirements, the evaluation procedures, internships and Final Master Project, the services available for the student or the information points at each institution to directly address their doubts.

In the periods of mobility, the International Relations Service of each institution will invite all MASTED students to the on campus welcoming days of the international student, organized at the beginning of each semester and focused on facilitating the knowledge and integration of all students in the corresponding University Community and its environment.  The attendance at these conferences will also be mandatory.

SUMMER SCHOOL

At the end of the second semester (mid-July), all students will attend this mandatory, face-to-face, one-week event focused on social justice, equity, and inclusion in STEAM education.

The Summer School program will be developed annually, and it will be evaluated by the teachers involved in each edition according to the parameters designed and well-informed at the beginning of the master's degree.

The Summer School will be based at the Future Classroom Lab developed by the prestigious European Schoolnet (EUN), an international non-profit organization located in Brussels (Belgium), closely linked to STEAM education and whose portfolio of projects in this field covers from teacher training to the learning improved by technology, including also scientific awareness for schools or the development of strategic European projects in science and mathematics education.

With the aim of not only interacting with outstanding professionals in STEAM field, acquiring new knowledge, but also discussing potential proposals of Final Master Project for every student, and favoring the networking and fruitful exchange of experiences, students will benefit from:

  • The interdisciplinary approach and the fostering of independent and critical thinking on the resolution of tasks, which will provide them with an integrated theoretical-practical basis of the STEAM for their future educational projects.
  • The presentations of leading experts in STEAM education that will provide them with an overview of this subject and its practical application in diverse educational fields.
  • The face-to-face interaction with colleagues, teachers and professionals that in addition to helping to achieve soft communication skills highly demanded on the current labour market, will provide students with opportunities to establish key contacts for the completion of their studies and the entry into the labour market.

GRADUATION

In May of the second year, at the end of the third semester, all students will mandatorily attend the graduation ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of the master's degree.  The graduation ceremony will be held at the University of Burgos, and it will reward the best graduate and the best Final Master Project of the promotion. Students from other editions and expert speakers who have participated in this edition that finishes with this event will be invited.
