MASTED is a joint master’s degree designed by five universities and offered to graduates, regardless of their area of knowledge, who wish to enhance their skills and competences in the field of formal and/or non-formal education through knowledge of new STEAM methodologies and tools.

Building on the strengths of each team member (partners, associates, collaborators and speakers), an excellent integrated STEAM programme has been developed to train teachers, educators and education system managers who will contribute to empowering students to address current and complex issues and future challenges as professionals in the market.

The educational disciplines taught in each institution are:

  • STEAM pedagogies, at UBU
  • Integrated STEAM approaches for sustainability, at UJA.
  • History and philosophy of science, at UFBA.
  • Online pedagogy, at IPLeiria.
  • Applied STEAM, in IPCA

IMPORTANT!

The employability in formal education (requirements, criteria, selection processes…), with distinction between educational levels (elementary, primary, secondary, higher education), will differ by country. To know the vocational training required in each case and the possibility of finding a job in formal education, it is necessary to carefully analyze the national legislation applicable in each country.

MASTED does not qualify for formal education at all educational levels and in all countries, being necessary to hold a bachelor's or master's degree specific for the desired level in some of them.
